This morning, I received the most Oxford email ever:

Dear Colleague,
We are writing regarding the proposed redecoration of the Sheldonian Theatre.
Designed by Sir Christopher Wren and completed in 1669, the Sheldonian was last decorated in the early 1960s and is now in need of redecoration.
Before embarking on this work, the University commissioned research into the history of the paintwork. This has discovered the original colour scheme of the Wren building and revealed that the present scheme is entirely the work of nineteenth and mid-twentieth-century restorers.
The Curators of the Sheldonian and the Building and Estates Subcommittee (BESC) are firmly supportive of restoring the original Wren colour scheme.
However, we are aware this will change the character of the theatre and so would like to invite comments from members of the University before wider public consultation and the submission of proposals for listed building consent.
We would therefore like to invite you to attend an exhibition in the Sheldonian on Friday 2 July between 9am and 4.30pm, where a sample wall panel will be available to view.

Yes, I am being contacted in case I have views on the possible impact of redecorating a theatre from (if you follow the link)... reddish to blueish detailing. I'm sure they'll have some passionate responses too. But not from me.
