Outside my window at work, I can see a bee, caught upside-down in a strand of spider web. Every so often it tries to escape, flying in short, frantic circles, then stops struggling and swings back to exactly where it started. D'you see? It's a metaphor. D'YOU SEE?

Shit. The bee's gone now. What does that signify?

Autobiographical Fact #4:
I am currently on the herbal (and non-prescription) anti-depressant St. John's Wort. I suspect that it is to blame for the occasional moments of extreme symbolism / transcendental bliss that I occasionally encounter. Highly recommended. And a shit sight better than the prescription one 'Venlafaxine' (sp?) which had more-or-less the same effects, but with nasty side-effects. If you don't get enough exercise and feel that twitching and involuntary tooth-grinding will help counteract this, or if you suffer from too many orgasms, I'd recommend that instead.
