• Sat, 17:26: ∗Beth Orton∗ A disappointingly thin & aimless performance. New stuff not good as 'Exit Planet Dust', old stuff not as good as old Beth Orton
• Sat, 18:08: ∗We Ate Grandma∗ 2 kids with a drum machine, keyboards & much more. Playfully choreographed, genre-defying tunes. Silly/serious & dead good.
• Sat, 20:49: ∗Air∗ Another band who've clearly found their niche, but have avoided making it into a rut. Distant & abstract but warm, insistently gentle.
• Sat, 22:47: ∗Jean-Michel Jarre∗ I'd naively expected a sedate set, as he's been making electronica for ∗40 years∗. Nope! Energetic, intense & danceable.
• Sat, 22:57: Jarre playing an electronica festival is like Tolkein guesting at a fantasy con: perfect, but rather awkward for most of the other guests.
• Sat, 22:59: Watching Jean-Michel Jarre's light show & Brian Eno's projections onto the radio telescope felt like my brain might be being reprogrammed…
